In 2024, Museum Learning’s Elizabeth researched and wrote about 58 monarchs of Great Britain and the United Kingdom from King Alfred the Great in 871, through to King Charles III in 2022, a history of 1143 years. The content is now live for hundreds of pupils to see.
With every monarch’s story at the heart of the country’s fates, successes and struggles, this key information is an essential asset for a chronological framework and stimulus for key curriculum skills such as critical thinking and themes such as Migration, British Values, Empire and change. The brief was for an element of humour and no more than 80 words per monarch!
