iNTERPRETATION TRAINING FOR HERITAGE & MUSEUM STAFF

Summary of Museum Learning Interpretation Training

Beginning my interpretation career writing a thematic plan for Somerset County Council archaeology collection in 2001, I went on to become interpretation officer for the National Trust, Kennet and Avon Canal Trust and to write interpretive trails for Wildlife Trusts and Historic England.

I am passionate about the positive impact of well planned interpretation in creating a memorable and evocative visit through using psychology and strong messaging to engage visitors in your place or collection. The video above gives a brief summary of how the training works and you can also download the training modules overview on the History Downloads page.
