This literature database is no longer being updated. For more recent

One function of the MLC is to create a comprehensive,
annotated bibliography and a subsequent integrated literature review. The
annotated literature will be continuously updated and available electronically.
Currently we have an alphabetical
annotated list of citations, which includes all citations added, or
reviewed, to date. In addition, we have added a listing of unpublished theses and dissertations pertaining
to learning in museums. We have also sorted the annotated citations by type of museum. Users can also
access the MLC search engine to search the entire
museum literature database.
Alphabetical
Annotated Listing
The alphabetical annotated list is a listing of
all of the works in the MLC literature review which have been entered,
including those which have been reviewed to date.
Theses
and Dissertations Lists
This is a listing of selected unpublished Master's theses and doctoral dissertations related
to learning in museums. The theses and dissertations are accessible separately.
In addition, we have provided the university
and college addresses which represent the most frequently cited institutions
on our list. These addresses may be useful in tracking down particular
theses.

Citation Listings Sorted by Museum Type
Status of the Annotated Literature
- As of 6 March 2001 the annotated literature database
contains approximately 2,300 citations, of which over 500 have been reviewed
and annotated. The Collaborative is actively working on compiling additional
citations for inclusion in the database as well as expanding the number
of annotated citations. If you notice inaccuracies or errors in the database,
have questions regarding the project or its progress, or if you would like
to suggest citations for inclusion in the database, please e-mail Karen Knutson.
